Four of the 11 DTs that were startable Jonathan Babineauxfor multiple seasons were startable as rookies. Five more were startable as Sophomores. Jonathan Babineaux wasn’t startable until Year 5. I’m going to say this a lot with DTs and CBs, there simply isn’t enough data to do a comprehensive analysis of them.

This probably isn’t the most helpful as being in a DT-required league changes things dramatically. But the first DT off the board was taken, on average, at pick 58.4. The earliest was Glenn Dorsey at pick 2.07 in 2008. The following year, B.J. Raji was the latest first taken at pick 6.15.
